Chinese smartphone maker Vivo is all set to launch its first S-series smartphone ‘Vivo S1’ in India on August 7. Ahead of the launch, this smartphone has interestingly been on the top of various leaks and rumours. However, the Vivo S1 has already been launched in the international markets, and the Vivo S1 India variant won’t be very different. According to the leaked price, the phone is expected to launch at a starting price of Rs. 17,990. 

Vivo S1 is a mid-range smartphone offers a triple camera setup, an AMOLED display with waterdrop notch, and a MediaTek P65 Soc, among other things. 

Vivo S1 Expected Price in India 

According to the leaked news, the Vivo India could charge Rs. 17,990 for the Vivo S1 base variant, packed with 4GB RAM and 128 GB internal memory. The leak also reveals that the Vivo S1 smartphone will launch in three variants in India The second model of Vivo S1 includes 6 GB RAM + 128 GB ROM, could cost you Rs. 19,990. Lastly, the top-end variant could be packed with 8GB RAM and 128 GB of internal storage with a price tag of Rs. 24,990. Earlier, Vivo launched this phone in Indonesia for IDR 35,99,000 (approx Rs. 17,650). So, we can expect Vivo to launch this smartphone at a price range between Rs. 17-18,000 in India.

Vivo S1 is the first S-series smartphone in the lineup will come in two beautiful colour variants – Skyline Blue and Cosmic Green.

The Vivo S1 is a mid-range smartphone device runs Android 9 Pie with Funtouch OS 9 on top. The phone sports a large 6.38 inches FHD+ (1080 x 2340 pixels) Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio. Unlike other mid-tier smartphones, Vivo S1 has a 90% screen-to-body ratio and a Corning Gorilla Glass protection.

Additionally, the MediaTek P65 Soc uses Arm Mali-G52 GPU to boost visual performance. The base variant is coupled with 4GB RAM enough for the smooth running of the day-to-day task and playing high-end games. The other two variants are 6 GB and 8GB RAM respectively. The device comes with a 128GB inbuilt storage option.

As far as the cameras are concerned, Vivo S1 sports a triple rear camera setup with a 16-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.78 aperture lens for taking clearer and brighter images, an 8-megapixel ultrawide sensor with f/2.2 aperture for capturing a 120-degree snapshot and a 2-megapixel depth sensor with an f/2.4 aperture lens. On the front, the Vivo S1 sports a 32-megapixel selfie camera for taking stunning selfies.

For security and biometrics, the phone comes with an under-display fingerprint scanner; face unlocks and a conventional pin/pattern/password method.
