After so many rumours and leaked news, finally, the Chinese smartphone maker, Honor, is on the verge of launching its first phone in India in 2020. The Honor 9X series was initially launched in China in mid-2019. Since then, the standard 9X has landed across Europe, including Russia and the Netherlands. Finally, after a long wait, Honor fans in India will also be able to get their hands on the device as of January 19, i.e. from Flipkart Republic Day Sale 2020.

The Honor 9X is the successor to the popular Honor 8X smartphone but brings improvements in a lot of areas, including camera, processing speed, design, battery life, AI, and connectivity. The new mid-range smartphone Honor 9X is notably the first device in Honor family to sport a full-view bezel-less screen using a pop-up front camera. Another highlight of Honor 9X smartphone is its X-shaped 3D gradient glass back panel with a glimmering pearl X effect.  

On January 14, Honor launched 9X at a starting price of Rs 13,999, making this phone a great competitor for other mid-range devices like Samsung M30s and Redmi Note 8 Pro. Honor 9X Launch Date in India

Honor has released a teaser on Flipkart which reveals that the Honor 9X will launch in India on January 14 and will be available for purchase via Flipkart from January 19. Earlier, the company had released a teaser that all but confirmed Honor’s partnership with Flipkart for the phone. So, the consumers from India can shop Honor 9X smartphone exclusively through Flipkart.

Honor 9X India Price

The Honor 9X price in India is Rs. 13,999 for its 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage variant and Rs. 16,999 for the 6GB and 128GB option. As for the colour options, the Honor 9X smartphone will be available in Sapphire Blue and Midnight Black colours.

Honor 9X is a great mid-range smartphone that will be available for purchase via Flipkart and will go on sale in India from January 19 onwards. Not only this, but the company is also providing a Special Launch Day Price under which users will get an additional Rs. 1000 off on Honor 9X purchase during the Flipkart Republic Day Sale. Honor 9X 3D gradient glass back design

Honor 9X is the first x-series smartphone to come with an incredible X-shaped 3D gradient glass back design. In the China launch event, the 9X smartphone launched with three colour variants Black, Blue, and Red, so we can expect the same colour options in India launch as well. 

Honor 9X Goes Bezel-Less with 6.6-Inch Screen

As mentioned, the Honor 9X smartphone is the first in the Honor family to come with a full-view display. Unlike the Honor 8X s screen which had a waterdrop-shaped notch, the Honor 9X uses a completely bezel-less screen. The phone sports a large 6.59 inches FHD+(1080 x 2340 pixels) LTPS IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio.

As far as the cameras are concerned, Honor 9X smartphone is equipped with a flagship-level triple rear camera setup with a 48-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture lens for stunning photos while the all-new 8-megapixel 120° super wide-angle camera with an f/2.4 aperture fits more into the frame, making shooting landscapes or small spaces easy and professional. There’s also a 2-megapixel depth sensor with an f/2.4 aperture lens to create professional-looking portraits with beautiful bokeh and sharp, clear faces.

Also, the Honor 9X features “AIS Super Night Mode” which dramatically improves shooting performance in low-light situations. 

On the front, the Honor 9X sports a 16-megapixel pop-up selfie camera with an f/2.2 aperture for taking stunning selfies. There’s also a 3D Portrait Lighting, available on both rear and front camera, which lets you take amazing portraits with studio-grade lighting effects. 

Kirin 710F Inside - Honor 9X Flagship configuration for powerful performance

The Honor 9X smartphone boasts a HiSilicon Kirin 710F (12 nm) chipset and features four Cortex-A73 big cores and four Cortex-A55 little cores, which efficiently enhance the running speed and consume less power. The chipset also has an NPU (neural processing unit) which brings superior AI capability while reducing energy consumption. 

The Kirin 710F Soc uses Arm Mali-G51 MP4 GPU to boost graphic performance. While to enhance the gaming experience, the Honor 9X device has GPU Turbo 3.0 technology. 

The Honor 9X phone base model is coupled with 4GB RAM and 64 GB storage, enough for the smooth running of the day-to-day task and playing high-end games. The other two variants are 6 GB RAM + 64 GB storage and 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage capacity respectively.

The Honor 9X smartphone is equipped with a larger battery to power a more potent processor. It comes packed with a Non-removable Li-Po  4000mAh for full-day use. The battery supports around 10 hours of online video playback and game-play in a single charge. Plus, the phone also comes bundled with a 10W charger. 

Honor 9X Operating System and User Interface

The Honor 9X device runs on Android 9 Pie with EMUI 9.1 on top. EMUI 9.1 is the latest Android OS of HUAWEI that provides an immersive experience and innovative performance. EMUI 9.1 has new features like Car Key, AR Measure, One Touch AI Video Editor and Sports Health.
