Xiaomi already has a phone on the shelves with a 120Hz display, and Poco seems to be getting the same for its first phone in 2020. As advertised, the next Poco smartphone will most possibly get the 120Hz refresh rate display and flaunts a large 6.67-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen. The display features a FHD+ (1080 x 2400 pixels) resolution, with 85.4% screen-to-body ratio and 20:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone includes Gorilla Glass 5 protection on both front and back, but it's not clear whether the Poco X2 display features a waterdrop notch or punch hole cutout. The device runs on the latest Android version Android 10 based MIUI 11.
Poco X2 is expected to be powered by Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 765 (7nm) chipset, coupled with up to 8GB of RAM. Whether your go-to is PubG, Fortnite or Asphalt 9, an upgraded octa-core CPU boosts speeds up to 2.3GHz, and Adreno 620 GPU gives fast and smooth gaming experience. Along with 120Hz refresh rate display, Poco has also added liquid cooling support in the smartphone so that the users can enjoy long hours of gameplay without interruption.
When the Poco 1 launched, it used the industry-best camera sensor from Sony available at the time to manufacturers. The company seems to continue the tradition this year too by employing the Sony IMX686 sensor.
As far as cameras are concerned, Poco X2 sports a 64-megapixel quad camera on its rear. The Poco X2 will be equipped with a four-lens rear camera setup with a 64-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.8, a 2-megapixel ultrawide sensor with a 120° field of view, a 2-megapixel depth sensor for background bokeh effects, and a 2-megapixel dedicated macro camera lens.
Poco's next smartphone is expected to be backed by a Non-removable Li-Po 4,500mAh battery, equipped with a reversible design type-C USB port. The phone also likely comes with 30-watt fast charging support.
The Poco X2 boasts a wide array of connectivity options that include Wi-Fi 802.11, b/g/n, Bluetooth v5.0, mobile hotspot, fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C, USB Charging, and GPS. For security purposes, the mobile also supports face unlock. If we talk about sensors, it includes light sensor, proximity sensor, accelerometer, compass, and gyroscope.
