Unveiled in Paris last month, Oppo’s flagship smartphone Find X has finally made its way to India. Launched at an event in New Delhi today, Oppo Find X comes equipped with a motorised mechanism housing both the front and rear cameras. The motor slides up the camera sensors once you open the camera app or want to unlock the phone using facial recognition. It also includes an all glass body, AI-based 3D camera for front portraits, and a 3D facial scanning feature which the company likes to call O-Face Recognition. Oppo has dropped the plans of including a fingerprint scanner and a headphone jack in its flagship Find X.

The Find X sports a 6.42-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with world’s first Panoramic Arc Screen design giving it a resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. Interestingly, this device has a 93.8% screen-to-body ratio, all thanks to the almost bezel-less display. The all-glass-body comes protected with the latest Corning Gorilla Glass v5. The Oppo Find X is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset clocked at a speed of 2.5GHz and an Adreno 630 GPU for graphic rendering. It comes with 8 GB of RAM coupled with 256 GB of in-built storage. The motorised mechanism houses a dual rear camera setup of 16MP sensor (f/2.0 aperture) with a 20MP sensor (f/2.2 aperture), OIS, and an LED flash. On the front is a 25MP AI-based 3D camera sensor with f/2.0 aperture, housing in the same slider mechanism. Oppo Find X packs a battery of 3730mAh with VOOC Flash Charge support and it runs on Oppo’s custom ColorOS 5.1 based on Android 8.1 Oreo. Connectivity options on the Find X includes dual Nano-SIM support, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth v5.0, and a USB Type-C port for charging.
Oppo Find X Price
Oppo Find X will be made available in two innovative gradient colors – Bordeaux Red, which seems more like a purple color; and Glacier Blue variant. As per the price, the Find X was launched at EUR 999, translating roughly to Rs 80,000 but is priced in India at a fairly low price of Rs 59,990. Oppo Find X will be up for sale in India starting August 3.
