When you read the word Note, you might have thought that the Samsung Galaxy Note9 had already been released and it has been quite a time now but not much time that a new Galaxy Note would be unveiled this soon. Did you just forget that not only Samsung but a Chinese tech giant also makes “Note” series smartphones, which doesn’t explode? Did this ring a bell to you? Yes, Xiaomi is up again with another addition to its famous ‘Note’ series. After the humongous success of the Redmi Note 5 Pro, Xiaomi is all set to launch its successor, the Redmi Note 6 Pro, on November 22 in India at an event in New Delhi. The new Note will be sold via Flipkart and Mi.com officially, starting November 23 at 12 noon.

Redmi Note 6 Pro is not much an upgrade over its predecessor but it surely has something that will lure you. Yes, this time around the Note smartphone gets a display notch and it is the same peculiar notch that we saw in the Poco F1 but it doesn’t fit in any IR Face Recognition system. Instead, the notch houses dual front-facing cameras along with the usual set of sensors. Flipkart will host the first sale of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro on November 23, which will eventuate with Black Friday when many online stores offer big sales and discounts in the US. Coming back to the launch of the device, the Redmi Note 6 Pro was launched for the first time in September at a launch event in Thailand.

Talking about the specs, the Redmi Note 6 Pro flaunts a notched 6.26-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 2280 x 1080 pixels, 19:9 aspect ratio, and a pixel density of 403 pixels per inch. The screen comes protected with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass for endurance. Powering the device, is the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 octa-core chipset, alongside Adreno 509 that was present in the Redmi Note 5 Pro. The Redmi Note 6 Pro should come in 4GB RAM and 6GB RAM options in India, coupled up with 64GB onboard storage which would be expandable via a microSD card of up to 256GB. In terms of optics, the smartphone will carry the same dual rear camera setup with a primary 12MP sensor and a secondary 5MP depth sensor that we saw on the Redmi Note 5 Pro. The front-facing 20MP camera sensor will now be coupled with an additional 2MP depth sensor, featuring AI face unlock. A 4,000mAh will fuel up the device to last a whole day on a single charge with the 10W power adapter.

Now over to the price, the Redmi Note 6 Pro is expected to be launched at somewhere around Rs 15,000 for the base 4GB RAM variant, while the price could go up to Rs 20,000 for the 6GB RAM variant, or could stick at Rs 17,000 for the introductory period. To recall, the Redmi Note 6 Pro launched in Thailand at THB 6,990 which roughly translates to Rs 15,200 in India for the 4GB RAM model.
