Now you get premium looks and hardware specifications, all at an affordable and reasonable prices. The latest addition to the superior smartphones market is the new Huawei Mate 20 Pro which will soon be launched in India. It will be the first smartphone to be equipped with the flagship Huawei HiSilicon Kirin 980 chipset based on 7nm process, a first for any smartphone in the world.

Huawei might be left far behind when it comes to the ruling smartphone manufacturers but it definitely has been the largest manufacturer of telecommunications equipment all over the world. The 31-years old organisation not only produces consumer electronics or telecommunication equipments, but it works in order to beat the possibilities in terms of internet connectivity through the introduction of 5G modems and other numerous system equipments. It surely leaves behind giants like Oppo and Xiaomi when it comes to pioneering the telecom industry in China and other parts of the world as well.

Huawei Mate 20 Pro debuted last month, powered by the flagship HiSilicon Kirin 980 SoC, clocked at 2.6 GHz, based on the first ever 7nm mobile AI chip process. The chipset also features dual Neural Processing Unit (NPU) from Huawei to enhance the AI experience. Key highlights include the iconic four-point headlight-style rear camera setup inspired by race cars, an in-screen fingerprint sensor, wireless reverse charge technology, and Huawei’s SuperCharge among others.

Huawei Mate 20 Pro flaunts a notched 6.39-inch OLED panel with a 2K+ resolution in 3120 x 1440 pixels and a pixel density of 538 pixels per inch. The Leica triple camera setup at the rear of the smartphone is stacked in an iconic four-point design. The setup includes a 40MP wide-angle sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, a 20MP ultra-wide lens with an f/2.2 aperture, and an 8MP telephoto lens with an f/2.4 aperture. The rear cameras also feature Huawei’s AI Image Stabilization (AIS) so that your pictures and videos are not shaky. That’s not all, the rear cameras feature a specialized underwater mode and the Leica lenses support 2.5-cm Ultra Macro Shot for beautiful zoomed macro pictures. There is a single 24MP selfie camera, placed inside the notch, with 3D depth sensing and an f/2.0 aperture. The selfie shooter is coupled with an IR camera and a dot projector for 3D Face Unlocking to secure your Mate 20 Pro. The device packs in a 4,200 mAh battery to keep you going for two days on a single charge. The Mate 20 Pro supports 40W Huawei Super Charge technology which can charge the smartphone’s battery up to 70 percent in just 30-minutes. Not only that, the 4,200 mAh massive battery also supports 15W wireless quick charging, along with Wireless Reverse Charge. This technology will let you use your Mate 20 Pro as a wireless charger for other smartphones, which support wireless charge.

Connectivity options on the Huawei Mate 20 Pro include Dual band Wi-Fi at 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, Bluetooth 5.0 LE support, Dual frequency GPS, NFC, and in-screen fingerprint sensor. The smartphone comes with IP68 rating for water and dust resistance to give you more freedom in outdoor conditions.

To recall, Huawei Mate 20 Pro launched last month at a starting price of EUR 1,049 (roughly Rs 88,400) for the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant, while the prices for the 8GB RAM with 256GB storage model was not listed on the Huawei site. In India, the Huawei Mate 20 Pro should be priced somewhere around Rs 70,000 if it really wishes to compete with other flagship smartphones in the premium segment including iPhone XS and XS Max. The Mate 20 Pro will launch on November 27 in India and will be available for purchase via Amazon.in from December 3. The smartphone is expected to launch in four color options including Midnight Blue, Black, Emerald Green, and Twilight to choose from.
