Few years back, the entry of smartphones almost crushed the feature phone segment. But the entry of Jio Phone proved that a feature phone can possess smartphone like feature, and now Xiaomi has launched its first ever feature smartphone and surprisingly the device is powered by Android OS and comes with AI features.
The device named Xiaomi Qin launched in 4G and 2G variants. The 4G variant runs on Android OS called Mocor 5 named Qin 1 and the 2G variant is backed with Nucleus OS, named Qin 1s. Interestingly both the devices support AI functionalities like – real time voice assistant and voice translation.

Xiaomi Qin is powered by Spreadtrum SC9820E SoC, a dual-core processor based on ARM Cortex A53 architecture and clocked at 1.3GHz. The device also packs an ARM Mali T82 GPU for graphics performance.
The 2G variant of the device sports MediaTek MT6260A SoC based on ARM v7.

The feature phone sports 256MB RAM with 512MB of internal storage option. And the 2G variant comes with 8MB of RAM and 16 MB of internal storage.

Xiaomi Qin Indian Price and Availability in India
Xiaomi Qin is priced at CNY 199 ( approx 1,990 INR) in China, and the device launched with the help of Xiaomi’s crowdfunding platform. The device is not likely to launch in India. If the device gets launched in India, it will be a direct competitor to Jio Phone.
