5 Home Remedies to Reduce Dark Circles

Getting dark circles under your eyes is much more prominent when you are sleepless, tired, or you are awake until the middle of the night using your smartphone extensively under the weak light of the lamp or total gloom.

But if the damage has already been done then what to do? Surely there are some remedies that you can go for, to remove that unwanted natural tattoo under your eyes in an, mostly impeccable, natural way.

So, below mentioned, in my opinion, are 5 of the most natural ways/procedures through which a person can remove the dark circles efficiently.

Almond Oil

Almond oil is by far regarded as the most beneficial oil for maintaining a healthy skin. It is certainly not possible that it will remove the dark circles overnight because everyone’s skin tone is different and the density of the dark circles also matters. However, following the procedure for few weeks will surely help the dark circles lighten up and gradually wiping out completely.

All you have to do is: Apply it under your eyes and gently massage it on your dark circles just before you are ready to hit the bed for a sound sleep and wash your eyes with cold water in the morning.

Cucumber

As the cinema suggests relaxing with a face pack on with two perfectly sliced cucumbers on eyes is the best way to release stress. Making fun of those scenes was apparently obvious because we were unbeknownst of what they do.
Cucumber has astringent properties that makes it good enough to brighten dark areas and that is why people use them while they relax.

All you have to do is: Take a chilled cucumber and cut it into thick -not too thick- round slices and let them rest on your eyes for at least 10 minutes and then wash that area thoroughly. It is advised to use it twice a day for a week to get effective results.

Rose Water

It is always good to wash/clean your eyes of the gloop that rests in the caruncle with cold water or rose water with the help of a cotton ball. Rose water helps your your eyes feel fresh and also they are equipped with certain astringent qualities, like cucumber, that are effective for the dark circles.

All you have to do is: Soak a ball of cotton in rose water then allow them to rest on your eyes fully covering them and relax for 15 to 20 minutes. Follow this procedure twice a day for 2 to 3 weeks to see quick results.

Raw Potato

Potatoes are naturally equipped with bleaching agents and they can be used as a remedy to reduce puffed/swollen effect around your eyes. Also, it can help in reducing the density of the dark circles under your eyes.

All you have to do is: Grate couple of chilled potatoes, squeeze them and extract their juice. Then, soak enough amount of cotton that can cover your eyes completely while the dark circles get the needed juice. Leave it on for 15 minutes or so; remove them and wash your eyes with mildly cold water. If you repeat this process for more than two weeks, applying them once or twice daily, then you will eventually see some development.

Tomato

Although an unexpected entry to the list, this natural bleaching property endowed vegetable -originally a fruit- has the ability to reduce the density of the dark circles, ultimately lightning them.

All you have to do is: Mix one teaspoon and one and a half teaspoon of tomato juice and lemon juice respectively. Apply it on your dark circles; carefully constraining it from entering your eyes. Let it rest for merely 10 minutes and further wash it off with cold water. Follow it for around two to three weeks, twice a day, for better results.
