Facebook is coming up with something new this time & is going to allow you to apply for jobs online. Yes! You read it right. Now you don’t have to go on making your profiles on different job websites for job application. Soon you will be able to apply on Facebook through “Jobs” tab. It is busy doing an experiment with recruiting features on its website. Facebook job application feature will be directly in competition with LinkedIn. This feature of Facebook will include job advertisements, salary information & details about job timings. It will have an “Apply Now” button for job seekers that will directly send the job seeker to the jobs page without the involvement of any third party or agency. The “Apply Now” button will make users trouble free of entering the resume details again & again i.e. now whenever you apply for jobs through Facebook.
This can cause a problem for companies who have been asking for vacancies as the job application by the job seeker will be sent to the company’s inbox which can cause chaos to handle the customer support & job applications through Facebook messages. This feature can be hit for Facebook as it has four times as many users as LinkedIn. Companies too will benefit from this as they can have many potential applicants & choose from. Talking about businesses, organizations can send new advertisements directly on the jobs page of their website rather than posting it on third party website. For people who are looking for a specific company can go & subscribe the respective company’s Facebook page & get notifications for jobs. Now you don’t have to install different job apps on your Smartphone. Businesses can post advertisements just like any other post.
