Apple enthusiast eagerly wait for the month of September as this month has become synonymous with the arrival of new iPhone for the fandom of the device. This time even for the people who are not users of iPhone can look forward to the event due to the venue of the event and the rumours which have been circulating the market. First of all, the event which is scheduled on 12th of September will take place in company’s massive new headquarters – the so-called “spaceship campus”. Tim Cook will take to the stage of the Steve Jobs Theatre – named after Apple’s legendary co-founder.The invitation of this event has the tagline “Let’s meet at our place” and it boasts a colourful picture of the Apple logo. It is scheduled at 10 am Pacific time which means the event will start on 10:30 PM IST.

According to the sources, Apple will indeed be skipping the “S” cycle and the iPhone X will be launched alongside the two other iPhone models called the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 plus. There are whisperings of the new Apple watch which will be the third generation device in the series. Apple will also look to confirm the release date for their HomePod smart speaker. For the people who are not planning on buying the iPhones maybe interested in the new iOS 11 software which could increase the productivity of iPad with a redesigned dock, advanced multitasking and new drag-and-drop features. The iOS 11 will also bring the consolidated Control centre which will act as a grid-like app switcher and a new file-storage app which will be called as the Files. One other big advancement with this phone is the roll out of ARKit, Apple’s new platform for the purpose of augmented reality apps. The latest Apple software is expected to roll out in around mid-September so that it can coincide with the new devices.

The new iPhone: What to expect?

It is expected that the new iPhone X will boost a screen size of 5.8 inch with the new home button completely removed. There are rumours about the edge-to-edge OLED display with the Touch ID may as well be removed and it will be replaced by the face-scanning technology. It will be used to identify the owners and it will get unlocked when they look at it. Although these features are not new in the industry as the other brands which have edge-to-edge OLED displays are using iris scanners or they have removed the physical home button and have replaced it with a fingerprint sensor on the back of the phone. Apple’s strength have always been in having full control over the features they introduce, so it will interesting how the new design gets integrated with Software or gestures in this phone. Till now we have not seen a phone with the face-unlock solution which works without any issues and if Apple is able to do that then it will be able to claim lead on another technology of present and future.
