Since its launch in 2016, the Google Pixel series has gradually climbed up the ladder and is competing with Samsung and Apple iPhones. Pixel has undergone several modifications in terms of design and appeal over the past two years. In 2017, the Pixel 2 phones were one of the top successful smartphones along with Samsung Galaxy S8 and iPhone X. Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL have become one of the most sought-after smartphones for consumers who love to experience pure Android OS and a compelling camera output, without minding the expensive price tags that inevitably come with an excellent smart device. Right now, there has been several speculations about the upcoming Google Pixel 3, and what surprises it holds. If one has to go by Google’s tradition over the past few years then it seems October could be the lucky month for Pixel lovers. But with all the excitement around the machine learning and AI-enabled devices, and especially after the lofty speech around Google’s innovation in AI during its I/O Keynote speech 2018, it seems Pixel 3 will be a bag of new innovations with futuristic appeal.
Google Pixel 3 Design Leaks
For the beginning, according to leaks and reports, Google will launch three models of Pixel phones, including Pixel 3, Pixel 3 XL and a less expensive version of the Pixel phone.
There have been several renditions of how the Google Pixel 3 will look like over the past few months. Well known leakers like @OnLeaks predicted that Pixel 3 will come with a notch. The leaked pictures also depict the phones with single-lens camera in the back and a dual-lens camera in the front. The back of Pixel 3 looks very similar to that of Pixel 2 with a certain finished tone and fingerprint scanner. There is also the all glass cover on the back, just like previous models.
Apart from the notch, the Pixel 3 will have a display of 5.4-inch with an aspect ratio of 18:9. Whereas, Pixel 3 XL with have a 6.2-inch screen with an aspect ratio of 19:9. The dimension of Pixel 3 will be 145.6 x 68.2 x 7.9mm and 3 XL will have a dimension of 158 x 76.6 x 7.9mm. While previous models did combine metal and glass, the rumor this time is that Google is going all glass body for Pixel 3.
There is still a lot of confusion around bezels in Pixel 3 and if it will be a bezel-less design or not. Apart from this, the Pixel 3 is rumored to have a front-facing stereo speakers, a USB Type-C port on the bottom in addition to fingerprint scanner and two-tone design on the back.
