LG has expanded its Signature series with the launch of LG Signature Edition (2018) in Korea. Successor to 2017’s Signature Edition, the new smartphone offers a premium finish with a sleek design going by the trend. LG provides an option to users allowing them to engrave their names on the back of the smartphone. LG offers a free Bang & Olufsen (B & O) Beoplay H9i headphones with the LG Signature Edition (2018).

LG Signature Edition (2018) Design

The premium smartphone flaunts metal edges, a Zirconium Ceramic back which provides durability and protection from scratches. LG Signature Edition (2018) sports top and bottom bezels on the front, and a fingerprint sensor at the rear. The dual rear camera setup is horizontally stacked with a LED flash sitting beside it. A 3.5mm headphone jack sits at the top of the device and volume rockers on the left. In terms of design, the Signature Edition (2018) somewhat resembles its predecessor.

LG Signature Edition (2018) Specifications

The smartphone features a 6-inch Quad HD+ OLED display with a resolution of 2880 x 1440 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18:9. The display is an HDR10 enabled display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection giving it a pixel density of 538 pixels per inch (ppi). LG Signature Edition 2018 comes powered with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset, and Adreno 630 GPU which handles the graphics department. The device comes with 6GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, which is further expandable up to 2TB via a microSD card. LG Signature Edition 2018 sports a dual rear camera setup with a 16MP primary sensor of f/1.6 aperture and 71-degree wide-angle lens, and a 16MP secondary sensor of f/1.9 aperture and 107-degree super-wide-angle lens. Over at the front, is an 8MP camera sensor with 80-degree wide angle lens and an aperture of f/1.9. Juicing up the device is a 3300mAh battery with Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 fast-charging and wireless charging support. LG Signature Edition runs on Android 8.0 Oreo with the company’s custom skin LG UX.

Connectivity options on the LG Signature Edition 2018 includes 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, GPS, Bluetooth 5.0 LE, USB Type-C and 3.5mm headphone jack. The smartphone measures 151.7×75.4×7.3mm and weighs at 157 grams. The device is IP68 certified for dust and water resistance, and also supports DTS X3D Surround Sound with Hi-Fi Quad DAC for enhanced music experience.

LG Signature Edition (2018) Price

LG Signature Edition 2018 version is priced at KRW 1,999,800 in Korea, which translates roughly to Rs 1,22,900 in India. Pre-orders for the smartphone start on July 30 and will be sold in Korea from August 13. Also, the B & O Beoplay H9i, which otherwise retail in Korea for KRW 700,000 (roughly Rs 43,000), but are offered for free with the Signature Edition 2018 smartphone.
