Three months ago, Lenovo-owned Motorola unveiled the Moto G6 Plus along with Moto G6 and Moto G6 Play in Brazil. Now, the company has teased the launch of Moto G6 Plus in India. The device features a bigger display, more RAM, and a faster processor than its siblings launched in June. On Thursday, Motorola posted a 16-second teaser video on Twitter confirming the arrival of Moto G6 Plus in India touting it as a smart camera with the hashtag #BuiltForMore.
Moto G6 Plus Specifications
Moto G6 Plus sports a 5.93-inch Full HD+ display with a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18:9. Powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 SoC clocked at 2.2 GHz, Moto G6 Plus comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of in-built storage, expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card. The graphics and gaming department is handled by Qualcomm’s Adreno 508 GPU. Moto G6 Plus features a dual rear camera setup including a 12MP primary sensor with 78-degree field of view (FoV) and f/1.7 aperture, next to a 5MP secondary depth sensor with 79-degree FoV and f/2.2 aperture. The rear camera setup also houses a dual tone dual lens LED flash. Over at the front, is an 8MP optic sensor for selfies with 80-degree lens and f/2.2 aperture along with a front flash for brighter selfies in low-light conditions.
Connectivity options on the Moto G6 Plus include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, a USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack. A 3200mAh battery provides juice to the smartphone with support for Moto’s TurboPower technology. Motorola claims that 15-minute of TurboPower charge will provide enough juice to Moto G6 Plus to last 7 hours of use. The device measures in at 159.9×75.5×7.99mm and weighs at around 165 grams.
Moto G6 Plus Price
Moto G6 Plus was globally launched at a price of EUR 299, roughly Rs 23,900. The smartphone will be available in two color options – Indigo and Gold.
Moto G6 already retails at Rs 13,999 for 3GB RAM + 32GB storage and Rs 15,999 for 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant; while the Moto G6 Play is available at Rs 11,999 for 3GB RAM + 32GB storage variant. Moto G6 is an Amazon exclusive device, whereas Moto G6 Play retails via Flipkart in India.
