Trendsetter OnePlus has unveiled its OnePlus 6 Red edition today in India at Rs 39,999. The smartphone features a glossy red designed back with an amber-like effect. The fingerprint scanner onboard the OnePlus 6 has got a glossy red aluminium finish which accommodates contrasty metallic silver lens.
The company also took the veils off a OnePlus 6 Midnight Black variant with 256GB internal memory. The latter will however go on sale starting July 14, 2018.

OnePlus 6 Red retails at Rs 39,999 for the 8GB/128GB RAM/ROM variant on Amazon from July 16, 2018.
OnePlus 6 Red Specifications
The Shezen-based OnePlus has claimed that the technique used to achieve the design for OnePlus 6 Red has never been used before. The smartphone has six layers of glasses, an evaporative film and optical coating added with an anti-reflective layer on top of the glass panel. This allows more light to hit the bottom of the device, which creates a depth sense. Apart from the colour, the mirror like fingerprint scanner intermixes with the glossy aluminum finish, and perfectly complements the silver coloured camera edges.
However, except the design all hardware components are similar to the OnePlus 6 launched in May 2018.
- Operating System: The Qualcomm-powered OnePlus 6 Red runs on Oxygen OS 5.1 on top of Android Oreo 8.1, upgradable to Android P.
- Processor and Graphics – OnePlus 6 Red is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, clocked at 2.8GHz. It uses custom Kryo cores (4 x 2.8GHz Kryo 385 Gold and 4 x 1.7GHz Kryo 385 Silver) made on 10nm process.
- Camera – The OnePlus 6 Red comes with a 16MP+20MP dual camera setup at the back. It sports an aperture of f/1.7 and at the front a single 16MP f/2.0 sensor for crisp selfies and video calling.
- Battery – One Plus 6 Red runs on a non-removable 3,300mAh battery supported by dash-charge technology.
