Your favourite and trustworthy smartphone manufacturer has just launched the Samsung Galaxy A8 Star in India. Okay, you got us, we are not making you a star, not this time, not anytime soon. But you can definitely own this star of the galaxy to flaunt your style in the most coolest way.

Founded in 1938, the South Korean conglomerate once ruled the world with most number of Samsung mobile phones active around the globe. With the latest technologies and the most trusted quality, Samsung went so far in the telecommunication segment, but no one enjoys monopoly in this world. With Apple, Nokia, BlackBerry entering into the market, Samsung faced tough competition but still managed to survive and win.

Samsung launched the Galaxy A8 Star on August 24, at a price of Rs 34,990 in India. The smartphone features a dual IntelliCam camera setup at the rear, and Pro Lighting and Smart Beauty features in the front-facing camera. The Galaxy A8 flaunts a 6.3-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity Display with thin bezels. The screen is an 18.5:9 display with a 2.5D and 3D glass protection alongside the aluminium framing. Running on an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset, the smartphone is clocked at 2.2 GHz, and comes coupled with a 6GB of RAM and 64GB of on-board storage, expandable using a microSD card of up to 400GB.

To square up, the Galaxy A8 Star sports a dual IntelliCam camera setup at the rear with a 16MP primary sensor and a 24MP secondary sensor. Over at the front, is a 24MP sensor for selfies, featuring Smart Beauty and Pro Lighting features, alongside AR stickers support. The front-facing camera also supports facial recognition to unlock the device using your face, apart from the fingerprint sensor that sits at the rear. The Galaxy A8 Star supports dual Nano SIMs, and runs on Samsung UX Experience on top of the Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. Samsung has yet again included the 3.5mm headphone jack for music lovers. The A8 Star packs a 3,700 mAh battery to last a whole day of usage on a single charge. The smartphone also supports USB Type-C for charging, and NFC for nearby communications.

The Samsung Galaxy A8 Star has been priced at Rs 34,990 to compete against the likes of OnePlus 6, Honor Play, and Xiaomi Poco F1 among others. The device will go on sale via Amazon India, starting from August 27. Amazon will be offering easy EMI options to purchase the Galaxy A8 Star with.

The device rises above the affordable price tag, therefore, it will be quite interesting to see how it fares amidst the already existing and ruling competents in the smartphone market.
