In the wake of teasing the smartphone on Flipkart, Realme has now affirmed that the Realme 2 will be elite to Flipkart this time. To review, the Realme 1 was selective to Amazon, when it propelled not long ago. Besides, the newly separated company additionally confirms that the cost of the Realme 2’s cost in India will be under Rs 10,000, and has stated that it will be the only smartphone, as of now, to offer a notched display at such a price. A launch is all set to witness the revelation of Realme 2 on August 28 in India. It will be just the second smartphone model under the Realme brand.

Aside from being a Flipkart exclusive device, Realme 2 will be treated like a new child with  guardian-like offices from where the smartphone will get an overhaul. The smartphone will sport a dual camera setup at the rear, which will be horizontally stacked, as in the newly launched Oppo A5, along with a fingerprint sensor that will sit at the rear. A 4,230 mAh battery is expected to be packed under the hood in the Realme 2, which is the same battery pack that was present in the Oppo A5. However, this time the battery is in excess of 20 percent bigger than the Realme 1’s battery, that was just 3,410 mAh. The Realme 2 will feature three colour options to choose from – a Diamond Red, a Black, and a Blue colour variant. The rear panel will flaunt the same precious diamond cut design, like the one seen on the Realme 1.

Previously owned by Oppo, Realme spread out freely as a online brand, last month, to expand its very own smartphone business in India independently. The second iteration of the Realme will be featuring a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, as confirmed by both the organisations. To recall, the newly-separated brand’s first smartphone, the Realme 1, was launched in May 2018 under Oppo. The Realme 1 is still an India exclusive device, being sold via Amazon at a starting price of Rs 8,990 which goes up to Rs 13,990 for the newly launched 6GB RAM variant, with 128GB of on-board storage. The phone retails in stunning colour options like the Diamond Black with diamond-cut design, Silver, and Solar Red to choose from.

The Realme 1 uses an octa-core MediaTek Helio P60 processor to run the device, coupled up with a two-core AI chip. The Realme 1 sports a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front-facing sensor to deliver beautiful images. Powering up the device, is a 3,410mAh battery to last a long time on moderate usage. The 4G LTE-enabled Realme 1 is available in three storage options – 3GB, 4GB, and 6GB RAM with 32GB, 64GB and 128GB of storage, respectively.

More points of interest on the Realme 2 with respect to correct cost, and full specifications will be divulged at the launch event in Delhi on August 28.
